Ligo na U, Lapit na Me (Star-crossed Love) is a Filipino independent film based on the bestselling novel of Eros Atalia of the same title. It is one of Cinemalaya 2011′s most watched film. According to the movie’s synopsis on Cinemalaya’s page, the film “is an examination of postmodern love and relationship and the way this generation deals with their love and fear”.
Karl Vladimir Lennon J. Villalobos, nicknamed Intoy is a street-smart, ordinary guy who secretly loves his classmate Jenny, a rich and quirky transferee who got kicked out from a school run by nuns for inappropriate manners. Their “friendship” has some perks and privileges since Jenny has allowed Intoy on having sexual relations with her as long as they will not fall in love with each other.
